Lower Impact Manufacturing

How It’s Made Matters Too

We focus on improving how our products are manufactured - reducing waste, reusing materials, and making better use of resources wherever possible.

Across our operations, materials that would otherwise be discarded are captured and reintegrated back into production. Water is reused, raw materials are recovered, and waste streams are actively managed to reduce what leaves the facility.

These efforts are part of an ongoing commitment to operate more efficiently and reduce the overall footprint of our products - without compromising the durability and performance porcelain tile is known for.

Turning Waste Into Resource

Recycling is a core part of how Florida Tile operates. Materials generated during manufacturing are not treated as waste, but as inputs that can be reused, repurposed, or redirected.

Each year, this approach results in significant volumes of materials being recycled and reintegrated into production.

Continuous Improvement

Improving manufacturing impact is an ongoing effort. Florida Tile continues to identify opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource use—while maintaining the durability and performance expected of porcelain tile.

These efforts are supported by alignment with industry standards such as Green Squared® certification, which includes criteria related to responsible manufacturing practices, resource efficiency, and environmental management. Together, this framework helps guide continued progress across operations while reinforcing a consistent, measurable approach to reducing impact.
